Should sex education be implemented in our education syllabus as a compulsory subject?

I personally believe that implementation of sex education in our education syllabus will not be a great success. Therefore it should not be implemented. There are many reasons why the outcome would not be satisfying. One of the main reasons is the perception of we Malaysians. Whenever anyone hears the word sex education, the first thing that comes to their mind is it is negative. Malaysia is a multicultural country and people from different races have different perception about sex. Not everyone is open- minded and able to accept everything. Parents who are conservative would not agree to this plan. It is obvious that the output of sex education would not be satisfying when there is no enough support from all parties. Besides that, sex education in school might egg on students to practice sex before marriage and they tend to misuse the knowledge provided. This is because, they will be taught how to prevent pregnancy and also to have a safe sex. Curiosity overwhelms students after learning and leads students to the negative pathway. Then, this leads to increase in random sex. Many believe that sex education is able to curb sexual problem but it is not true. This is shown by a research that has been done in Germany. Germany is one of the country that provides sex education in schools, however Germany rank the top 3 in sexual problems. So do you think that this method works? Furthermore, there is doubt on the efficiency of sex education. How sure are we that this method going to be practiced in a correct manner? First of all teachers must provide the correct knowledge, so that the student gain information. To ensure teachers provide correct knowledge, teachers should be given sex education first. In conclusion, sex education should not be given in schools but parents play a important role in providing that to their children.
